Greece is facing a great opportunity in the offshore wind sector – First Offshore WInd Bill has been voted by the Parliament

The kick off of August has been perfectly combined with the kick off of the Offshore Wind Act in Greece, as it has been voted and approved by the Greek Parliament. Although not done in purpose, it ideally coincides with the period of “meltemia”, the period of the strong, dry, northerly winds in the Aegean sea.

A great opportunity opens for Greece as the offshore wind sector will be a key contributor to the national energy transition, to the achievement of the energy independence, will help Greece to become an energy hub and to achieve development, create numerous FTE jobs and enhance local supply chain and related investments.

The kick off is now a reality, and the next steps have to be firm, stable, well organized and fast to keep the momentum.

Development Faria Group DF GROUP has contributed significantly to the realization of the above and is targeting in playing an even more significant role for the development and realization of Offshore Wind projects in Greece.
