Electrical System Package Manager

Location: Athens/Flexible

DF Group invests, develops, manages and operates RES Projects of all technologies and has been growing its team in all sectors. Through its international team of experts, DF Group develops offshore wind projects and assesses emerging offshore wind markets worldwide as well as opportunities in mature markets.

 

We are looking for an Electrical System Package Manager to join our fast-growing offshore renewables team. The Electrical System Package Manager will be a key member of the core development team and will be accountable for all aspects of electrical system design and grid compliance of our development projects, including optimisation of electrical system design.

 

The Electrical System Package Manager will be reporting to the Technical Director at a corporate level. He/ She is expected to manage and lead all the workstreams related to Offshore Wind Electrical System Design from the WTGs to the Point of Common Coupling (PCC). At the development stage, the Electrical System Package manager will guide and mentor other resources to produce conceptual system design, will ensure compliance to grid code requirement and will be responsible for building CAPEX and OPEX estimates for the electrical system components including Offshore Substation (OSS), Inter-Array Cables (IAC), Export Cables (ExC), Onshore Cables and Onshore Substation (ONS).

 

At the next project phases and as the projects mature, the Electrical System Package Manager will work with other package managers and will assume overall accountability for the procurement and successful delivery of electrical system assets.

 

Experience Required

  • Senior lever resource with proven experience in offshore renewables
  • Proven experience in specifying, overseeing and managing electrical system studies either in-house or through third parties
  • Ideally familiar with Greek, UK grid codes and ENTSO-E network code
  • Package management of at least one of the IAC, ExC, OSS and ONS packages during the development or construction phase of offshore wind projects
  • Budgeting and building up CAPEX and OPEX estimates of electrical system assets

Qualifications

  • Education level equivalent to MEng Level in electrical engineering
  • Project Management certification will be considered favourably
  • Chartered Member of Technical Chamber of Greece or an international institution desired but not essential
